T-mobile’s Royal Wedding Dance Video goes Viral

The Royal Wedding is drawing a lot of attention as we get close to the day that Prince William and Kat Middleton join in what is thought to be the most popular union since Prince William’s mother, Princes Dianna, unfortunate death.

I am always a sucker for viral videos even if it turns out to be some type of product placement. There is no denying that this ‘Royal Wedding’ dance video captivates its audience especially since the real Royal Wedding will do the same for those who are fortunate enough to attend. After-all, it has received about 6 million views since its release on April 15, 2011.

This spoof video is rather clever on the part of the T-mobile folks, who are now mostly owned by AT&T. A T-Mobile spokesman told London’s Daily Mail that the video is “a congratulatory message to William and Kate, as well as a way of capturing the nation’s celebratory mood.”

Space Shuttle Retirement Ushers In New Era of Space Transportation

It was 30 years ago that NASA tested the first Space Shuttle pioneering a new era of space flight. That era is entering into a new endeavor as the Space Shuttle program is put to rest. What a lot of people are wondering, aside from where the Shuttle vehicles will be placed on display, is what will transport our American astronauts into space and beyond after the shuttle program has ended?

Ever heard of Elon Musk? Some of you may know him to be the CEO of Tesla, an innovative electric car company that builds the Tesla Roadster electric powered sports car or maybe the co-founder of PayPal. Musk also has his hands in a private space startup company called SpaceX. SpaceX will be at the forefront of transporting astronauts into space slated to have its first launch from Cape Canaveral in late 2013 or early 2014.

SpaceX has a variety of rockets that can be outfitted with transport vehicles and cargo. Of those rockets, they have ones that rival the famous Saturn V rocket that propelled brave men from the Earth to the Moon. To put things into perspective, below you will find charts of SpaceX’s rockets, the Space Shuttle and Constellation project Ares rockers in comparison to the largest and most powerful device man has ever built, the Saturn V rocket.

This should give us some type of indication of what is to come in the space program provided they have the proper funding. Another good aspect about SpaceX is that have claimed to save an estimated $1 billion a year with a program using SpaceX rockets vs. the previously axed Constellation project rockets and designs.

The Falcon 9, created by SpaceX, became the first commercial vehicle to launch a spacecraft into orbit and have it return to Earth safely. We will look to future developments in space exploration and the bitter sweet retirement of the Space Shuttle as we know it.

There are a few vehicle ideas on the drawing board but as of now nothing has been put in concrete. The old Gemini and Apollo program has resurrected a pod design idea that looks to be very promising for sitting atop a SpaceX rocket for transporting astronauts into space in the near future.

To understand the magnitude, innovation, technology and bravery of the space program and the people at NASA, check out the video below of a Saturn V launch in slow motion captured on a high-speed camera at 500 frames per second and the famous space shuttle launch video below that.

Most Astonishing Car Accident Caught on Video

This is one of those videos that just sticks in your mind after you watch it. This video, if you can stomach it, is one of the most interesting videos you will see for months to come I assure you.

Just as a note, the driver did live to see another day after the accident took place. One question beckons me, why was this guy recording with his camera phone, obviously an iPhone in portrait mode, while driving? That makes me wonder about the legitimacy of the video. It has been confirmed to be REAL via Jalopnik.

What is your take on the car accident video?

In case anyone is wondering what would happen in a crash between a brand new Ferrari 458 Italia and a Ford F150 pickup truck, wait no further because it just happened. In Brandon, FL the owner of a fresh new Ferrari 458 Italia, valued over $270,000, was somehow involved in an accident with a Ford F150 pickup truck. From the looks of the video the Ford F150 was able to roll on top of the Ferrari crushing the front hood area collapsing into the storage/trunk compartment. The owner on the video looks a little pissed but it still raises the question as to who exactly was at fault for this interesting incident. Someone’s insurance company is not going to be too happy either way.

Electronic Pickpocketing Coming To A Thief Near You

If you are like me, then you are also wondering what this world has come too with all of the bad things that happen now days including the infamous pick-pocketing thieves. Today’s age is totally different from that of 30, 20 or even just 10 years ago. We have technology to thank for making our lives so much better but has it made it better or worse when it comes to theft?

Pick-pocketing is not your usually discussion at work over the morning coffee pot but nevertheless, it does still happen only now days it is happening electronically without physically removing your wallet or purse. Thieves have the capability to steal your credit card information without digging in your pocket or making away with your wallet. This new technology literally puts about 140 million people at risk, the estimated number of people with RFID enabled cards.

Ever heard of the RFID radio frequency? If not, then let me explain. RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification. Basically RFID is a technology that uses radio waves to exchange data between a reader and electronic tag attached to a particular object. It allows consumers to easily ‘swipe’ their card to pay for something. All US Passports issues since 2006 have an RFID card which goes to show how frequently this technology is used.

In the case of thieves ‘electronically pick-pocketing’ you, they use a reader to read the certain RFID enabled credit cards virtually stealing its information. This stolen data can be used to recreate your credit card credentials thus allowing a thief to charge your credit card. Pretty clever isn’t it?

Not everyone has an RFID type card but it is becoming more popular. For instance, Suntrust banking is one institution that issues RFID cards and all a thief would need is a sophisticated scanner (reader) to steal your card information.

Below is a video exclusive reporting on this very issue. Are you now more fearful of getting pick-pocketed now?
